Berg Bites Donates Energy Bites to Homeless Shelter in Ivy City

Last week, Daniel Berg, the founder and CEO of Berg Bites donated 12 cases of the original oat energy bites to the homeless shelter located in Ivy City, Washington D.C.
Berg Bites changed the design of their classic energy balls this July in order to increase the production capacity and satisfy the growing number of health-conscious customers. The rapid transition to producing energy coins exclusively left the company with several boxes of the original Berg Bites that could not be distributed to stores anymore. Instead of throwing the cases out to free up the storage space, the healthy snack manufacturer decided to donate them to the homeless shelter nearby.
For a long time, it has been a dream of Daniel Berg to use his business to help others and this is not the first time the company has done a good deed. Last October, Berg Bites was the main sponsor of the 11th annual J.R Smith Golf Outing for Charity at Eagle Ridge Golf Course in Lakewood, New Jersey. Moreover, this donation was also in line with the Berg Bites mission to become a more sustainable food company and reduce waste.
